The Kallistos Story
Authoring Your Inner Greatness
Kallistos derived from the Greek word καλλιστος (kalliste) meaning "most beautiful.”
In Greek mythology, Kallisto was a beautiful Arcadian nymph pursued by Zeus.
She was changed into a she-bear by Zeus' wife Hera and was almost killed during a hunt. She survived by being placed amongst the stars as the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major).
Is Kallisto's story one of tragedy? Perhaps jealousy, cruelty, loss, or injustice? Likely, none of these.
In this new form, Kallisto forever lights the northern skies. Beyond the darkness of night, the Great Bear constellation brings comfort, providing guidance and orienting observers due north.
The world is made more certain and less scary when her light shines.
This story of transformation speaks to the human condition. How we choose to respond to life's challenges and circumstances can shape us and our stories. We believe that this ability to make choices along one's evolution is the epitome of health and healing.
We are here to support you on your journey to becoming your most beautiful self.
Let your light shine. You are KALLISTOS!
